The best home theater system...

...is one that is tuned properly for your room.  Your home theater not showing as great as you imagined it would, particularly in light of the green you paid for it? Here are some practical things you can do that might help.

First the easy and cheap… turn out the lights!  Make sure any light source from the kitchen, other room or even that light in the corner is not reflecting on the screen. Move or turn off the light.

There are special DVDs to help you tune your picture to its best performance…not the factory presets.  A DVD from Avia or Home Theater Tune Up will display those test patterns. Adjust from there to get the best picture for your room and set. Don’t want to shell out for the DVD? Experts say you can adjust the color temperature down to warm, its lowest settling. Then turn the contrast down to halfway. Give it a try.
