Most of us have certain traditions that we observe on Independence day.
Family picnics...fireworks....hotdogs and potato salad.....what could be more American than that.
I paricularly like the eating part of it all.....a wiener cooked over charcoal, slathered with mustard and chopped onions...ummmmmm-um!
Over the years I have discovered that when I say hot dog here in Detroit....it isnt the same hot dog that people in other parts of the country enjoy.
Down south they put coleslow on thier wieners....In Chicago, they do all kinds of other things with thier sausages. (Pickles and sliced tomatoes????) Deep fried hotdogs in Philly?
My point is....I would like too hear what other folks enjoy for thier 4th of July feasts. Different strokes....from different folks.
My wife and I like too start our holiday with a breakfast treat.
It's real easy too make.....just a banana and a cantalope.

Good tips for the sour kraut.  I'll eat what they make for me.  I like my wieners deep in with some mustard and onions.   I also like the firmness of the fleshy watermelon. 

A Fourth of July without Melons just isn't American. Yea, I have noticed that women really like melons.
It seems I am always seeing women with big melons.

As long as they are succulant, who cares?




Now these ladies have come up with a different melon......one more suited for their taste.

I know that there is another natural source wholesome fun to drink nutritious refreshment out there, but it escapes me right now. Funny, I'm sure the clues are right out front, staring me in the face, but I just can't seem to remember the beverage... clueless in Canada.

And like most movements, celebrities are always jumping on the band wagon to generate more publicity for themselves.
This health food craze is no different. Some are so fanatical that they take their healthy snacks with them wherever they go, even though the transportation of ag products across borders is illegal.  Here is a picture of Britney smuggling raisins............

I think, in some cases, its better for everyone that some veggies don't wade into the gene pool....

Lint, I have also notice that Zucchini is popular with women on holidays. Myself, I've never liked it.

In addition, evidently "vintage corn" was a big hit.........
