I tuned in for just one segment in between the football games. No Callie. Just the dyson guy and dog Cruiser. And Chris from HSN [not too bad on the eyes either]. DC21 cann for $399 with 5 installment payments of $80. 30 day return guarantee if unsatisfied. Expected to sell 1000 in the 30 minutes, but had already sold a number prior to the viewing. Of note, no hyping about dysons never clogging and losing suction. Once very prominent in the HSN TV demos and even the testimonials by the callers. Not part of the TV sales pitch anymore. I would have preferred the demo if Chris from HSN did it. Not the dyson guy. Why? Easy for a dyson guy to demo and show the ease of use. More convincing if done by Chris, a housewife and user. Carmine D. I watched the DC21 segments only. I was shocked to see the hostess strong arm the canister and pick it up as a unit (with the pn too) and hold it perpendicular, with one arm while standing. Strong lady. You are right, I'd like to see the shows host/hostess use the products themselves more but they very rarely do (even with other vac brands). Carmine, did you hear the woman caller profess her love for Dyson DC21 and that she cannot believe how much it picks up? She said she owned 2 Rainbow's in the past but will never use em again. People want Dyson's, but usually at a deal. HSN said they sold over to 1300 DC21's in 1 hour. DIB

Hi DIB: As I recall, she didn't say the brand name save that she paid $2000 for each, twice? Sounds like she had a real thing for the sales man. Just to set a frame of reference: Consumer Reports rates dyson's DC21 a "GOOD" on carpets, "EXCELLENT" on barefloors, and "GOOD" on pet hair. While the Rainbow gets a "FAIR" for carpets, "VERY GOOD" on barefloors, and "VERY GOOD" on pet hair. There are 16 canns from $170 to $1500 that out score dyson's DC21. Rainbow comes in below dyson. You may recall that the HSN staff [2 ladies] demo'ed the DIRT DEVIL "Kruz." And couldn't stop using it. I bought and used one and found it okay as a straight suction cordless stick. My dear Wife, daughter, and 2 grand daughters love using it. THo, its 8 pounds, it cascades over floors effortlessly. And does pick up. With a nice size dirt cup. Carmine D.
