Serious Astronomy

This place is huge.  The Mauna Kea Observatories is located in Hawaii which is a great place to watch the skies. 

University of Hawaii has a great web site for the observatories.  There are at least 13 telescopes on the site.  Optical, submillimeter and radio telescopes cover the top of a mountain.
