Re: Ariens 926DLE Pro Vs. Ariens 926LE Delux vs. Ariens 11528 LE

Hey Paul...

Thanks for your help.   After visiting several dealers, and visiting the dealer I felt most comfortable with, I decided to get the 926 DLE (Pro).  The extra power to the wheels (differential) versus just a lock out was the biggest selling point.  In addition, the Pro series is the sturdiest that Ariens builds.  I am pretty excited.  It's being assembled and brought to my house Thursday, just in time for the potential for some snow locally Thursday night.

Thanks, again.

Hello  Paul....

These are the exact three Ariens models that I have been looking at as well.  I live in Baldwinsville, NY, which is northwest of Syracuse.  I ruled out the 926 le for the same reasons you did.  I find myself exactly with your choice.... the 11528 LE or the 926 DLE Pro.  It's really a close call between the two. The difference in price is about $150 more for the 926 DLE.  I could be tipped either way.  The way I look at it is the 11528 LE might be a little tougher to store and possibly a little tougher to move versus the 926 DLE.  Plus, the 926 DLE might be a little more durable than the 11528 LE.  I am likely going to make my purcahse today and I am leaning towards the 926 DLE.  Wish me luck.
Ariens 926 DLE (Pro) or Ariens 11528 LE (Deluxe)

Hello again. I recently posted a thread comparing the 926 LE and the 926 DLE  http://www.abbysguide.com/ope/discussions/17626-0-1.html. Well, I went to several dealers. I feel with our weather and my back, I think the traction control with differential remote lockout is really important, so that eliminates the 926 LE (Deluxe). I also saw the Ariens 11528 LE at the dealer. Comparing the 926 DLE versus the 11528 LE, what are the big differences? I've looked at ariens.com. Which one gets you the better bang for the buck? Which one is the better buy? Thanks, in advance, for your help again. I really appreciate it!Laughing

OK.  I've read many posts about Ariens being a good model to go with.  I now am not sure which model to choose.  I live in Baldwinsville, NY (Northwest of Syracuse) which averages about 120-140 inches of snow per season (lots of lake effect snow).   I have a 45  foot paved driveway which is about 2 to 2.5 cars wide.  I guess the best model for my money is probably the Ariens.  But I am trying to figure out if it is worth it to go with another $500 and get the pro ($1000 vs. $1500).  I know what the differences are (OHV engine versus L-Head... the differential turning, etc).  I'll throw this in to.  I have a very bad back (L5-S1 disc degeneration) so I can't shovel anymore.  I need to get a snowblower that I can use without hurting myself and which my wife can use if I am in bad shape.  Any and all help is appreciated.  Thanks in advance.
