Yeah, but that would change the capacity of the engine from 190cc
Briggs and Stratton Engines

Something that I have been wondering about for sometime

Take for example the B&S Quantum engine. It is 190cc capacity, but comes in various HP outputs from 4? to 6.5.

What do they do to alter the power output without changing capacity? Cam profile, Ignition timing ??????

Probably a really stupid question, but anyway... Have a great Christmas all.......

Tecumseh vs Briggs and Stratton
#3   May 24, 2005 6:54 am
Hi all

I am looking at buying a petrol powered pressure washer. I have the choice of either a Tecumseh LV195 or Briggs and Stratton Quantum engine.

I own a lawn mower with the B&S Quantum and have no complaints as yet. Was after a unit with the Tecumseh engine (liked it because of the cast iron sleeve and pressure oil feed) but was talked out of it by the sales person.

From memory I think it was a spare parts/warranty issues in Australia.

Would like to get the opinions of others.... pros & cons of both engines

Thanks in advance

Re: 4 cycle handheld leaf blower?

Hi all

Honda make a 4 stroke blower... It is powered by their GX25 Over Head Cam mini 4 stroke.

I upgraded from a Ryobi 31cc 2 stroke on the weekend.

I am in Australia and would assume it would be available for sale worldwide...

Would never buy a 2 stroke again....

Hope this helps

Cheers
