Anyone Know Who Built Lawn Boy Snow Blowers
Original Message   Nov 13, 2012 10:09 am
I see a local add for an 8 h.p. 24" Lawn Boy snow blower.  No year, no details.

Would anyone here have an idea of who would have actually built these machines for Lawn Boy?

It is possibly a Toro snowblower with green paint.

My guess would be Gilson, and then Gilson was bought by Toro.

I thought there may have been a link between Toro and Lawn Boy due to Toro's purchase of Lawn Boy years ago.  However, the Lawn Boy snow blower doesn't use the Toro drum type impeller that was common durning that era.   In addition to that, the gearbox looks similar to the old style steel units used on older Ariens machines.
