JD 265 tubeless tires
#1   Apr 9, 2008 6:50 pm
I have a JD 265 with tubeless tires.  Last year, every week, I had to add air to the front tire.  Now the back tire has the same problem.  I haven't inspected the tires or the rims yet but was wondering what I should do.  Should I get a tire sealant or anything to reseal around the rim?  Should I install inner tubes?  The tractor is probably close to 15 years old and don't want to spend a lot of money.

Thanks Mike

UPS shipped it ground.  If I ever have to do that again, I'll throw an air freshner in their.  Their was no gas and the spark plug removed.  I don't know what else I could do.

I wrapped it up in a couple plastic bags, followed by newspaper and taped the outside.  Worked perfectly.
Shipping a used chain saw
#4   Sep 1, 2005 9:01 am
I am trying to ship a used chain saw.  The UPS store says that there can be no smell of fuel.  So how do I go about removing the smell or is there another shipper that I can use.

Thanks Mike

I didn't ask how he cleaned the line.  I know he didn't replace it because it is tricky from the tank to the gas filter.  I do know he cut off the frayed in near the bottom of the gas filter.
