I go every year........stay with friends.........good food, cold drinks and good friends. Plus rooting for the new home-team rookie..........
Not a long weekend for me as last weekend was. Supposed to rain, but I'll try to work on the yard, and check out the camping gear. Do some repairs to the trailer, and some mods to some other equipment.
Oh, and I'm thinking of taking a driving course. I believe my parking skills need a little fine tuning. Emmo, could you be so kind as to get the number of the school that driving instructor works for. She looks quite well qualified to help with the parking practice.

Paula,
With Danica in it, it could be a very long enjoyable dream. Of course if visions of a certain woman in her red bikini were to inject themselves into my dream, I'd wake up in a panic attack, and swear off cheap beer and Mexican food for life.

Me thinks someone has been getting slap happy with the delete button again....the picture of Emmo's girlfriend is gone Hope you saved a picture of her Emmo.....for posterity.... Paula, we're now "G" rated. Terms of Use (TOU), will reflect that shortly. Maybe they already do, I haven't checked? OK, I checked and yes, they've been updated to include the following: ""AbbysGuide is a "G-Rated" site, and therefore posts that contain sexually illicit, violent or racially insensitive material will not be tolerated."" I don't know if I'm qualified to make a judgment on what's sexually illicit and what's "G rated", seems there's a middle road in there somewhere but darned if I know where it starts and stops? There are professionals in the specific business of determining this stuff, they get the big bucks and it seems they don't always agree on where the lines start and stop, it seems the line always moves as well. Violent and racially sensitive, I think I can handle. Guess I'll leave the decisions on the other matter to the professionals of this site that are much better equipped to make those determinations than I. Marshall

I'm with Lint on the Sunday shutdown. We should have a day for religious contemplation with our families. As long as the beer stores stay open. In fact we should have a Terms of Use condition that we respect religious diversity and will be shut down for every Christian, Hindu, Muslim, agnostic, and atheist holiday. The new ToU refers to "...illicit" which is defined as: adjective: contrary to accepted morality (especially sexual morality) or convention (Example: "An illicit association with his secretary") adjective: contrary to or forbidden by law (Example: "Illicit trade") To violate the second definition is going to take some pretty raunchy stuff. I don't think we have people here who will go that far. The first definition requires panel to determine what is "accepted". I'd suggest Lint and I have the right moral stuff to best determine what we would accept as acceptable.

Here, here, Herr Highwind! I concur with the need for a special morality counsel. May I also suggest that the emoticons provided for our use are far too suggestive and should be reconsidered for approval by the counsel. ie. : This icon suggests that the emoter is being aroused beyond acceptable standards...perhaps by a female of the opposite sex. : This one suggests that the emoter was caught in the act of something that was either immoral and/or illegal in some states and provinces. This obviously suggest drug use. Satanism is not cute in any form!

I knew that this conversation and implimentation would happen. See, for the past month, we have been getting a little vulgar on this site. Knowing how this might affend people, I tried to stop it before it got too far. Considering, I am not a moderator, it was really not my place. Because of all this vulgar and sexual referances made on the forum, the admins have sought to make this site a rated G. Now, I do agree its for the best, but now that has limited us from making certain statements. Understand this everybody cause I am only going to say this once! Now that this site is rated "G" and says so in the Terms Of Service, if somebody in here vilolates the terms of service too many times, you will get banned. I have done my best here to follow the rules so that I don't get banned. I just don't want to see anybody get into trouble on here. My Two Cents...

Termie We're all adults here (except for those stray 11 year olds who manage to sneak in) and each of us is capable of deciding what we do and don't want to post. And, as to what someone considers vulgar, I do believe that is a matter of personal preference. For example, some people might consider it vulgar to post pictures of themselves over and over on a forum or to take a superior attitude when addressing other members of the forum, not that you would know anything about such vulgar behavior, of course. "This icon suggests that the emoter is being aroused beyond acceptable standards...perhaps by a female of the opposite sex." It is entirely possible that a female of the same sex could be aroused beyond acceptable standards by a female of the same sex, is it not? Now that I find sexually illicit and morally incompressible, uh, irrepressible, uh,...irresponsible, ..uh.., irrehensible...ah to heck with it...I find the thought vulgar and offensive. Komrade, vhen shallst vee bee having zee first meetingz of zee moral counsel? I think it is imperative we do so soonest, as the moral fabric of this forum is disintegrating faster than wool in the mouths of a 1000 moths. I think we should meet at an establishment where we may observe elements of immoral behavior so that we have the proper reference point from which to judge illicit postings. I say we meet at noon at the Bare Essentials Gentlemen's Club. Besides quart bottles of Molsons are on special at lunch. See you there. As this will be a formal meeting, sanctioned and, more importantly, paid for by forum member's dues, it think we need a proper agenda so that we have action items to report back. Agenda: Item #1: Order beer, Item #2: watch first first clothing optional ballerina, Item#3: Order lunch, and another beer, Item #4: watch next 2 interpretive dances, Item#5: More beers, Item#6: order several lap dances each, purely for investigative study into immoral behavior, item#7: More beers, Item#8: discussion on which ballerinas resemble Paula, Sherri, Marshall, and Emmo? Item#9: a lot more beers Item#10: pass out. Item#11: wake up in city jail Item#12: released from jail; meeting adjourned As you can see Lint , this is a fairly busy schedule, but I feel that it is so important to save this forum from moral rot.

I just don't want to see anybody get into trouble on here. My Two Cents... Turmee,
The first person you are going to see getting into trouble over this is yourself, with that superiority complex you are exhibiting. And I think that is the last person you had wanted to see in trouble. On the other hand, if an Admin Deity descended upon a shaft of light, and conferred upon you the divine right to impart the higher wisdom of the Admin collective upon us mere mortals, then I will forever be your humble and faithful servant, begging your forgiveness for doubting your superiority.

Sure Marshall, be glad to help. Step 1 - Go put on your most comfy jogging gear. (That's what you're wearing???) Step 2 - Go outside and stretch. (Oh the pain of those tired muscles) Step 3 - Go back inside, stop at fridge for something cold after all that stretching and to check the weather forecast. Step 4 - Make sure everything is turned off and that you are sure you can do this. Step 5 - Go back outside, inhale deeply and start jogging. (Don't forget the shades - you may need them in the States,) Step 6 - By the time you hit Nova Scotia, your few pounds will have been lost and you'll be looking superdy duper. Sherri

Nova Scotia? Surely I can do this part through a video game or something? Paula, ever wonder why are the terms Lipo and Hippo similar?

You don't need to be wasting power while you're out on the road. Smog, fog, exhaust and other things we won't mention, I can understand the not inhaling. NO!!! No video games until you get get that fat worked off. How do you think those little rolls formed. Paula, Is that the "G" rated way of saying: "BITE THIS?" Just curious. Aww Windy...now I'm really hurt that you think I could ever infer, think, speak or rudely gesture* such a "PG" meaning on our G rated forum.....well, that just strikes right to the core of my sensitive soul... *Disclaimer: By usng the phrase "rudely gesture", the first party (hereafter to be referred to as "I" except in signature) am not in any way, shape or form condoning such behavior by the first party as possibly mentioend by the second party (hereafter referred to as any other living or dead creature, so as not to exclude anything or anyone) and the aforementioned gesture by the first party is used strictly for purposes of example, not to be tried at home. Considering my own "height challenged" status, I wouldn't dream of teasing anyone for being short....at least not without including myself.... And if you drag out the Wizard....I'm dragging out Ze Generalz..... ....and she doesn't play nice at all...
Paula,
An interesting little tidbit of information you've provided. Strictly speaking in OPE terms, you would be a "short-block" design. To continue with the OPE theme, I was wondering if you would describe yourself as a large displacement or a small displacement short-block? Furthermore, could you be described as an over-square or under-square engine? To make it easy to understand which you are, take your bore measurement (diameter where you have the largest overall circumference; ie, take the largest of your chest, waist or thigh measurement and divide by 3.14). Now divide this number by your height (stroke in engine terms). If the number is greater than 1.0, you are over-square; less than 1.0, under-square. If all this mathematical stuff is too much for you, just send me a picture with your measurements, and I'll do the tough calculations. And I don't want to play favorites. So Sherri, you are welcome to complete the questionnaire too. Hmmmm...To keep this totally unbiased by self-perception, why don't both of you send me pictures and measurements and I'll do the rest. <<Psssst....Guys, there will be an E-abbysguide acution of photographs in the next few days, so start saving your cash or cases of beer.>>

Uhhhh Sherri, I wasn't cutting you ladies in for a piece of the action....but I'm not the greedy, materialistic type. Sooooo, any jewelry, gold, furs, that are bid are for you and Paula to divide. I'll keep the cash and Alexander Keiths. BTW, if you girls can't settle the division of the goods, then I can help. Math really was one of my better subjects, and I can figure out exactly how much chocolate pie filling it will take to fill a pool so you girls can wrestle over who gets what. I'll sell tickets to that event and bring in more cash. So send your picture and measurements and I'll work out your "over-square" or "under-square" ratio. Metric or inch (or foot or yards as the case may be) numbers are fine. And I'm sure that any camera that broke while taking your picture was a defective unit; not your fault.
