I found some dealers advertising on Craig's list. Walked in with the posting and told the local dealer I can do cash or travel to the Craig's list dealer. He wanted $20 extra and would assemble. We had a deal on a Honda 520.
Re: Honda HS520 (US) Throws 55 tons/hr???

trouts: Nice post. Did not try to compare to other makes. At least the Toro lists the same output for both US and Canadian models. Maybe that is why the US output for the 520 is on the high side. At 32 tons/hr it puts it in the performance of machines almost half the price.
Honda HS520 (US) Throws 55 tons/hr???

Looking at the Honda website I see the Honda HS520 (US version) throws a outstanding 55 tons/hr. The Canadian version can only handle 32 tons/hr. Does Honda actually expect someone to believe that the US version has a higher output than the 928? Is this a joke or am I missing something?

Single Stage Snowblower Acquisition Syndrone as I call it.

So that is what I have. Planner on the two stage and first single stage. SSSAS on the rest. At least I know something will start when needed.

Funny I almost forgot about this forum and found the thread looking for information on the HS621. Many refer to it as the holy grail of singles. I would buy one if available in the US. I did have a Honda 724 which was sold about 7 years ago. Real pain to get out of the garage with no way to free up one tire. Aside from that definitely the best piece of equipment I owned. Put together very well and threw snow a good 40 feet. The GX engine was very nice and easy starting. Since I love the singles I would buy one to keep the Snow Commander and 3650 company. Never liked the idea that the commercial level engine was not included in the single stage end of the Honda line. Tom
