I don't mean to be a P.I.A. But the model number of the mower would help. If it is a front drive that uses a belt to drive it, that entire transmission costs about $30 and is pretty simple to change out.  As the other person noted, the axle is about $15. If it is a rear wheel drive, they can be a pain to change out or repair. Carl

Take a look at the brake arm coming out from the engine. Note if it is moving when you let the safety bar go. The engine stop brake is spring loaded. If it is not moving like it should, you can lubricate it. If that doesn't work, you will have to replace it. Your kill switch is part of the brake assembly. Good luck, Carlw

Go to Sears.com, click on lawn and garden, then on the left side click on parts. Put your model number in.  Your snow blower will come up, then click on show diagram. Note item number 7 is the hub assembly.  After you take off the wheel, you will notice where the hub assembly bolts to the frame. Since it is chain drive, you have to be careful but remove the entire hub assembly, then you can knock out the outer bearings (bushings) and replace them. Good luck, Carl

Go to www.sears.com, click on lawn and garden, then on the left side, click on parts. Put the model number in and you should find the equipment listed. It will come up in two ways, parts list or diagram, click on which you want and download it or print it. Carl

There is no way of tightening the belt. Over time, they wear and sink deeper into the pully. There should be an idler pully that is spring loaded that keeps the belt tension at all times when engaged. Check to see that the tensioner is working as it should. If it is, the only thing you can do is buy a new belt and replace the old one. Carl
