Court Date
Once you file for bankruptcy, you will meet with the bankruptcy trustee (an appointee of the government who will oversee your proceeding) and any of your creditors who wish to attend. At the meeting you will be asked by the trustee about the data in your bankruptcy forms.
The creditors present can also ask questions and file an adversary action or a motion to dispute. You may also want to challenge a debt. In that case, there will be a hearing scheduled and you will appear before a judge.
