Re: JD 928E stalling out....

Thank you both for those tips........Prior to me reading your posts I finally had a successful day of blowing today a good 6-8 inches in spots without stalling once. I read in earlier post with the 1130 to loosen up the fuel cap and I did just that. Also, the cap has the fuel stablizer that pops in, and well I poked some fresh holes in them and machine ran like a beaut. Hopefully, the issue is solved. If not, I will try both your methods. Oh....and John Deere got back to me via e-mail on the issue......the response from the technician was that he went over the owners manual for my model and came to the conclusion that I should bring it into a local john deere dealer to have technician look at it. Unbelievable!!!!!

Having same issue with my 930E.......read reply to your post of loosening up gas cap and will try that next time around. It might actually do the trick, as I did loosen it once or twice when trying to get restarted and seemed to fire right up after it. Then again, it might have just been sheer luck....haha....
JD 928E stalling out....

Hey all....I purchased the 928 from Lowes this year brand new. Ran great for awhile, then when colder weather/more snow it will just die out 20-30 minutes in. Then it's a real pain to get it started again. If it sits for a little while it seems to start right up. Figured it to be a choke issue....then read a few posts on here about the 1130E doing the same thing and that it could be gas cap venting issue. Has anyone seen this issue with this model? If so....any insight on what it could be.....I assure you it's not stale gas as I bought it a few weeks ago and went with 93 octane. The fuel cap has the fresh start stabilzer built in it, and tonight I just took a nail and poked through the vents as it seemed clogged or frozen and I hoping this will do the trick.
