Original Message   Mar 4, 2005 7:13 pm
well folks...

im curious as to what the prices of snowblowers are in your area.

once they come north they get quite pricy.

i would like to compare pricing on...

10 horse snappers ...

10 horse ariens pro models

10 horse simplicity.

and 10 horse toro units.

im just curious and would like a little help in this.

would appreciate regular list price and a sale price if available.

thanks in advance... chris

I wish I could answer this, but 3 weeks ago my Toro dealer was sold out of all two-stage snowblowers for the season.

Hi Chris-

I purchased the 1060DLXE Simplicity for$1399. along with 12 months same as cash financing. The MSRP is $1749. and the in season price available pretty much everywhere in New York is $1549. THe dealer wanted to move it out of inventory because he is beginning to get his lawn equiptment in and wanted the room. He also had a 9560E on the floor with a sign that read $1349. That is the in season regular price. I am sure he would have sold it for between $1200 and $1250.

Hope this info. helps,

Marc

My Simp 1060 DLXE was $1549 in October.  Usually can't find them past mid January unless there is no snow.

Marc:

You got a great deal on your Simplicity.  After using it for one season I am really impressed with it and would swear it has at least 12 horsepower. Thanks for starting the other thread it was very informative for all of us.

Just to add to this model  Both Home depots  in my area have these on sale for $750.00  (both stores started out  about 2 weeks ago with at least 4 on the floor,  last week still had 2 on the floor)  Full retail H D  figure was 999.00 (they usually have an open a credit card, no payment no interest for six months, if you want to take that into consideration)

Also bought an Ariens 8524le from them last year, about this time for 700.00,  full Home Depot retail 999.00 (which was less than Ariens website full retail price of  I think 1,070.00  , dealer price  1,200.00  (all prices in American Dol-lazzs)

Nice decision Buck .  as if you have been following some of these threads, you very well may have gotten the 11 horsepower (seems actually it may be a 12) motor and a free differential etc for the same price. And living in Buffalo with an average snowfall of like 83 inches per year that differential is going to be well worth it.   More proof that the Downlabeling is full of bull for the consumer.

Some dealers say that the Ariens they sell is different from the one sold at Home Depot?
