swapping bucket from smaller ST to ST1032
Original Message   Feb 12, 2014 11:10 am
I have a nice running st1032 924000 series early 80's I think. The bucket is a little big for what I need and I think it would process snow better with a smaller bucket as well. Can a smaller bucket assembly from the same era be swapped on the running gear? I have searched and have not found anyone that has done it. Thanks

Yes the buckets are interchangeable.
It's a pretty easy swap.
Remove the rod that turns the chute.
Remove the belt cover take the blower drive belt off the pulley.
Loosen both, and remove one of the two
bolts (9/16") that hold the bucket on the tractor.
When you remove the second bolt the handles are going to
want to drop to the floor.  So find something to put under underneath
them.  They need to be able to drop about about 6 to 8".
Lift up on the handles while removing the second bolt.
Lower the handles onto the support.  As your doing that
watch so that the belt doesn't get hung up.
Then just roll the housing forward off of the rod on the bottom.
