Hi guys,

I just purshased a Ariens 1332 PRO ( Model 924505) and i was wondering if its a 2005? or the last digit are not the year.

Aniway the thing is that my father in law has a Ariens Deluxe 30 2009 almost never used and was willing to trade with me because he has a larger driveway and it's more windy overthere i paid mine 1600$ CND and he can give me 200$ if i trade mine. My pro has electric starter Techumseh SNOW KING 13hp its in mint condition exept the paint is missing at some location and it has a Protective cab.

The Deluxe 30 is stock exept the drift cutter and composite skid shoes.

What do you guys think about this and can someone confirm me the year of my 1332 PRO.

Well i just called a dealer around here and they say that the 2010 Pro 32 retail at 3067.00 +taxes (13%) and the 2010 Deluxe 30 retail at 1750$ + tx.

i'll try to post a video of the beast in action the next snow storm.

You could probably get the date from the engine.

I think most blowers use an engine made the year before.

So if the Tecumseh ends in "SER 4xxx" the engine was made in 2004 and the blower was sold late winter 2004 or early 2005 and is considered a 2005 model.

Yes, it looks like a 2005 to me. I have a 2004 model #924505, and it has electric chute rotation and the drift cutters do not have the nice wing nuts like yours (you need tools to put them up and down).

Can you give me a part number for the cab unit? It looks like the stock Ariens cab, and much better than the cheap generic ones you can get for $60 in the U.S. I want the exact Ariens cab like you have, so a PT# would be great!

Also, some advice on your new (lightly used) machine from a guy who has used the same model for many years:

1.) It is a HEAVY machine, as you know by now (329 pounds!). So, when you have the differential locked in 2 wheel drive mode (for heavy snowfalls) it is a $#%* to turn 180 degrees at the end of the driveway, unless you bend down and unlock the differential every single time. This is a real pain to deal with when you do a lot of blowing. If your elbows or wrists are in poor condition, you will find that turning this machine with the wheels locked will bust your body up in a hurry. Get used to unlocking the diff. for every turn, or pay the price in the long run. I talk from experience!

2.) I switched to a set of composite skid shoes, very nice upgrade, highly recommend this to make the machine easier to manuver, and they last longer than the stock steel shoes.

3.) The electric start 13hp Tecumseh is unstoppable. I just did 12 properties with the entrie driveways drifted from 5 FEET to 8 FEET of snow, in a blizzard on Feb.2, 2011 in Kenosha Wisconsin. That motor never complained during 9 hours of continuous extreme condition use!

4.) When I had the original Snow Hog tires like yours, I put chains on them, MUCH better traction and performance. I recently upgraded to Carlise's X-Trac tires, which are supposed to not require chains and give the same traction. They are better, but I am still going to put the chains on the new tires. During the 8 FOOT drift cleanup, I needed more traction.

5.) Watch out for the auger housing bending when you push the machine through hard snow and ice from the snow plows. The housing sheetmetal is very weak, and will bend right into the augers. I repeatedly have to beat the housing metal away from the augers with a rubber mallet! Thinking of welding some heavier metal on the outsides in front of the shoes to stiffen it up.

6.) For those of us with electric chute rotation motors (a weak GM automotive electric window motor is used), these will freeze every single time you use you machine. Before replacing the motor thinking it has stopped working, let the machine idle on high speed for 5 to 10 minutes, it will likely thaw out and free up the motor.

This model was first produced in model year 2001 and last produced in model year 2003.

926505 maybe. 924,XXX models were discontinued in 2004, rather the last year of production was 2004. This model in particular, the year earlier...
