simplicity 1960 sno-away 6hp 26"
Original Message   Mar 9, 2008 6:41 pm
Hi, I have a simplicity 1960 sno-away 6hp 26" snow thrower, which worked like a charm until recently I hit the curb with the rotor and one of the blade is out of shape now ( the welded parts came off and doesn't rotate). I am wondering if anyone can refer me to a parts store etc who sells part for old blowers or if it is recommended that I get it welded back and see if it will work? Please advice.. and if possible email me at kalkama AT gmail DOT com

You might be hard pressed to find parts for a 48 year old snow thrower.  Hell, the guys that built it are probably dead now....That's a piece of history you're working with there.  I suggest you take it to a welder and have them take a look at it.  Not to be rude or anything but maybe a newer machine is in order.    That has to be a record for longevity.
