1982? Tecumseh 8 hp Snowblower Motor HM-80
Original Message   Jan 26, 2008 9:10 pm
Does anyone know about getting a longer attachment for putting oil into the motor. If you know what I mean there is a little oil fill plug with a little dipstick in front of the motor. Its quite a pain adding oil to the motor. In my old owners manuel it shows an attachment in one of the pictures but have no idea where I can get one. If any one knows about this or what part number is it, I would really be thankful.

Thanks

Get yourself  a medium size funnel with a narrow tip.  Find a piece of clear plastic hose that will fit over the tip of the funnel.  You might have to heat the hose to get it to fit over the tip snugly.    Make sure the outside diameter of the hose will fit inside the filler hole.  Probably 5/8" hose will be the largest that will fit.   Cut hose to suitable length.  Problem solved.

If a simple funnel is not suuficient, then a

transmission fluid  filler product would also do it.
