Seriously, was it well maintained? Oil changed? Auger shafts lubed? If so I would say somewhere around $900 would be fair a machine that is close to 8 years old. If it is REAL CLEAN you might fetch an even grand for it...

Look on eBay for machines near you. Used Simplicity machines seem to sell for about what used Ariens machines do. But the price is related to where you are - the more snow, the more people are willing to pay. It could sell for anywhere from $400 to $900. The market for used machines is limited because of the need to deliver or pick it up.
