Re: Ariens Help
#2   Dec 20, 2007 10:13 pm
Josh - I am currently having trouble obtaining a "Differential Assembly" gear from Ariens.  I went to the Ariens Website and sent them a customer contact email.  Ariens then sends you an almost immediate (within 1 hour) email reply saying they will get back with you in two days.  They did followup with an email to me from Customer Support on the 3rd day (depending on which way you count since Ariens doesn't count the day you send your request.

Since the email reply only provided me some limited information, and did not answer all my questions, I called the Customer Support number on my email (Joy Gilbertson
Warranty Service Representative, Ariens Company, 920-756-4305.  Unfortunately, I could not find an 800 number.  She was helpful for regular parts lookup, etc. but was not a Technician.  When I pressed her for specific questions, she finally told me to call the main Ariens telephone number and ask for "Technical Assistance".  I haven't had a chance to call yet, but this might help you get the answer you need.

PS: HELP! -- I need a "Differential Assembly" for my Ariens Model 924026 which was made in 1977 [8 HP and 24 inch auger).  Ariens has this part on back order and tell me it will be 4+ weeks before they think they can ship it.  They are waiting for some sub-part from their supplier who needs to make them.  Then when Ariens gets them, they can assemble.

Obviously, being December 20th already, I can't wait 4 weeks.  Can anyone help to sell me a used Differential??? The old part number is 61299900;  however, I have since found out that this same differential is used on other models with part number 52403300 and 02442400.  Ariens now tells me that the new replacement part number for all three of the gears is 5120200.
If anyone can help bone this part for me please reply and I will contact you via email.
Thanks Bill
