hemi dodge...not good
Original Message   Feb 23, 2005 6:47 pm
i know this is a bit out there so file it if necesary.

im driving a company vehicle now 4x4 with the hemi.real nice looking truck .rides nice and has all the percs.

boss said pick a truck that we both like and we can lease it.

how could i go wrong. he wasnt real thrilled with the hemi but i kinda whined and cried a bit and we got one.

have been driving it since may and im still waiting for it to work good.

it gets horrible mileage.

the windo sticker said 26 mpg on highway.now remember our gallon isnt the same as yours ,its about a half quart bigger.

so anyway it gets about 12 mpg on a good day.

only way it would get 26 is if you dropped it out of an airplane.

the other problem is power...it dosent have any ...really sucks.in my opinion.

my previous truck was a 99 dodge with the 5.2 magnum and that truck would waste this one.bad.

and it got much better mileage.

i talked to one mechanic and he said they used the computer to take all the low speed power away from them ,because they were replacing to many transmissions and rear ends.

sounds right to me cause if you step on it from a stop it will not even spin a tire.but if you are going about 40 and step on it it will really go.

anybody else have one of these trucks .

any ideas.
