On your end, the pics should be no larger than 640*480 If they are larger in screensise, than that is probably your answer why they are so big on the site. 1024 or 1600 is too large. PS... You might be able to get away with 800*600

If you guys want to reduce the size of your pictures you can a image resizer from Microsoft just follow the link below if your machine has Windows XP version. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx If it is some other version go to your favorite search engine and type in Powertoys for Windows 95, 98, ME or what ever. Dear Robert, There are those here who know better then I, but I'll explain it as how I understand it. I'm sure I'll be corrected if I am wrong. Right above the textbox that you type your reply in, you will see a toolbar. the 3rd box from the right is a box with a mountain in it. You click that. Another textbox opens. In that textbox, you put your picture. Now, how I do that is as follows. I use photobucket as my picture hosting website. I go there, find my picture, and "copy" the FIRST line under the picture, the "URL" one, I then "paste" it in that textbox that opened when I click that mountain box. You are done. Basically, before in the old forum, I copy and pasted the 3rd line in photobucket, the "IMG" line, and pasted it in the body of the post I was typing. Now, I do almost the same thing, but copy and paste the 3rd line in photobucket and paste it in that new textbox that you get when you click the mountain box instead of your post textbox. I hope that helped. I'm sure there may be easier ways, but this works for me. If I want to "fix or resize the picture first, I do that in photoshop before i post it to photobucket. Frank D.

OK, will someone please explain to me just how to post pics on this %*&#ing forum, this has me so pissed off... Robert Have you tried the drag and drop method yet? This is the easiest for me and sure beats the toolbar approach. However I am not sure if this only works with a Mac.

Dear Tom P, Boy, that picture of the new imac is sure nice IPE eye candy! I have a 17" imac G4 "Lamp", but I really like it. My son has a 12" powerbook, and between the boys and I, we have 3 ipods. One of the Christmas presents my boys got this year were a few Mac t-shirts..... One has on the back....."I couldn't afford my own IT dept, so I bought a mac" The other one says......"I used to think it was MY fault that Windows didn't work properly" We seem to collect official Apple shirts and vintage mac posters....The boys especially like the poster that came out awhile back when apple came out with the windows version of iTunes.... the one that says "Hell froze over"........... Tom P, I was playing with the photo ipods the other day at the Apple store.......quite bling-bling! After playing with them for awhile, the regular ones just seemed a bit plain. I only went with the 20 gig 4g ones because I really like how thin it is. It makes our 2gen 10 gig one seem like a brick. I want to download some audiobooks for the cruise we leave on in a few weeks. It's kind of nice having an Apple store 25 miles from us, in Buffalo. There are not too many of them, so we are lucky. Strange, Rochester is only 25 miles from here also, way more upscale, etc, but they picked rusty old Buffalo......perhaps because it was easy for the Canadians to get there. Frank D.

Regarding my previous post, all I did was "right button" click on my image in Photobucket, "copy" and then "paste" into the forum "Your Message" box.

Dear Robert, I haven't downloaded any yet.......I just thought I'd go to www.audible.com and look., although on www.ipodlounge.com they speak of a few other sites that have free audiobook downloads. I have not really browsed yet......knowing me, all probably look at the "bargin" section first. I thought it would be nice for the plane ride, etc. Are your Potter books downloaded and used on an mp3 player, or do you use them on CD? Frank D.
