To the beach
Original Message   Jun 17, 2005 6:18 pm
Dudes and Dudettes,
Heading out in the morning. No cell phones, no phones, no email, just family and friends, mix in some sand, libation, food, music, waves, and love.
See you next week, stay safe.

Yes do indeed have a good time.  We have beaches around here, but I think we need sun and some warm weather before we can enjoy them.

Whatever you do, don't do this. If you reach this point the next step is a mini-van and a fanny pack.

Too old to look good anymore, and smart enough to know and accept it......

Rob, Have a blessed vacation, may it be all you need and want it to be.......

Minivans can be a godsend, and on vacations, fannypacks are great.  Hey, you're on vacation to relax and enjoy, not make a fashion statement......

Frank

You're a nice looking couple, comfy with each other.  I won't say anything about you being a cutie because I wouldn't want to embarrass you.

I Think, therefore Ipod.  That's a classic.  It's nice to see you and the mrs. posing together.  It's a first for the forum.    How about some of those Hawaii pictures?

You're a nice looking couple Frank!

You're right, a fanny pack on vacation can be good, I wear one hunting too. Just don't wear it to the mall.  As for a mini-van, I'll stay without one, they're just not me. I'd much rather go the SUV or crew cab truck route.

Cool shades Frank, great fashion statement.

Thanks for the well wishes, They worked. Everything a vacation should be, including being too short.
Sat on my butt on the beach for a whole week. Went to the boardwalk and stuff at night. But during the day, it was beach time. We normally do some other stuff, like rent a boat and go over to Assateauge, or maybe chase a little white ball. This year it was wave riding, shooting the breeze, casting plugs in the surf (no hungry fish though), and relaxing. Could have used another week like Chris plans for.

I hope you all have as much fun as we did.

Glad you had a great time. Vacations should be a time to relax, not run around trying to see how many tours, sights, events you can take in so that you need a few days to recover from it on your return.

Welcome back!

Glad to hear you loved it.  When I go on a vacation, I try to have lots of green available so that not much can stop me.  Unfortunately it depends on the vacation, and that green isn't always available.

Robmints, which beach did you end up going to?

I too second the minivan! Now if only I could find a supercharger for it along with Brembo brakes.

We went to Fenwick Island Delaware. (Not an island.) Just north of Ocean City Maryland. It's close to us and we like it. Not like a lot of beaches. It's about 500 feet fron a National Seashore. Not very crowded. No lifeguards, but no one telling you what you can and can't do either.
