Another computer question....
Original Message   Jun 2, 2005 7:28 am
Sherri and Chris' thread got me to thinking (uh oh...)

I wonder how many 'sweetheart' deals are being made between computer manufacterers and spyware companies (and chain computer stores) to offer great deals on computers by having the computers already loaded with spyware?

Paula, I'm sure that is only a matter of time.

This article is rather disturbing though, in that it indicates that
some of the antispyware program companies are striking deals
to allow some spyware/adware to be let thru by their software.

Sneaky SO_'s!

I also use Adaware, Spybot and SpywareBlaster
(which I like because it actually prevents the Spyware
from even landing on your  computer).

Thanks Emmo

I downloaded it and have it running.  Nice program...there is quite a list of ad/spyware programs it blocks.
