I'm gonna have to start teaching him to dance.  Better partner then the guy under the soap box.  He taught himself to back up, now all I have to do is find a song that he likes.

Hi Paula, his name is Taz.  He's 8 years old and starting to feel, but not look his age.  His mother was a pure Husky and his father was a pure German Shepard.  The guy we got him from (a good customer of ours) said his father was about 150 lbs and his mother was only a tiny Husky.  He's my dog, but he lives with his Nanny and Grampy.  Dad won't let me bring him home with me, he's too attached.  We do get the occasional sleep over - about 1 a year, but I get to see him everyday - so it's all good.

Marshall,

That sure is one smart dog. I'm amazed at how well he trained that woman to follow his every move so well. I've never been able to train one that well, and I've tried. Sheesh, I still can't even get one to bring me a cool, frosty beer, let alone follow my every command.

But I did notice that he had to keep his eye on her the whole time. Probably can't trust her to stay focused if he didn't maintain eye contact.

Yup, he is one smart dog.

Now that's impressive for a woman too....shaking her head, rolling her eyes, and sighing. Doing three things at once. Wow what next? Take a complex set of instructions and follow them:? "Go get the deteregent, fill up a bucket with water, grab a sponge and wash the car will ya. Oh, and before you start, get me a cool one."

Hey Paula,

I have a nice shiny quarter for you, if you'll wash my car. Do I need to write all the steps down for you or can you remember "hose down, soap, rinse, and repeat"?

Not a bad deal.  A car wash and a hair cut for two bits?  I've only heard my grandfather talk of the good ole days when you could get deals like that.

Good point(s) there Marshall,

Do you think those are the only forward looking apsects of her personality that have developed in her favour, or is she hiding other assets, being the shy little gal she is?

Paula,

I was never able to sing, as I didn't have much range to my voice, so being able to hit a high note now and then would be useful.

Yup, I'm just a little bitty guy, with a big mouth.

At least you get to see him every day.   He has such 'human' eyes.   He looks in fantastic shape.

He's starting to feel a little stiff and sore in his hind end, but that's normal for the shepard part of him.  He's so strong in his chest and front end that it amazes people, that must be his husky side.  I just simply love him to death and don't know what's going to happen when that horrible day comes when I have to go to work and not have my dog there to great me.  He's working hard to keep everything clean - just brushes his tail over the equipment and it's done.

Some people I know with older dogs who have problems with stiffness have used glucosamine chondroitin with some luck.  Just an idea for that stiffness.

He is gorgeous with a nice coat and coloring...he has that shephard stance that you can see mostly from the back.  And he is well loved I am sure.

Taz gets glucosamine, ordorless garlic and buffrin.  He only seems to feel the stiffness when he's playing hard with his friends that come to visit.

As for you 'Lint, is there really any help?

So when does Snowshoveler get to feel the stiffness?

Er... aahhh...... let me go back to doing the house chores now.

Now where did I put that broom?

Probably MissSnowshoveller has some place in mind where she'd like to put that broom so you won't lose it next time.  Keep checking your 6. You don't want a woman sneaking up behind you with a broom for the next while.

Yep, found the broom!

It was right where my wife parked it last night when she came home.

Highwind, the kids got my 6 covered. I train them well.
