This is a straight suction canister. Weighs 8 1/2 pounds with the hose and attachments. 10 1/2 pounds with the combination floor rug tool on board. The vacuum is about the size of a herniated bowling ball. Fits perfectly on the paint platform of a 6 foot Werner household ladder. QUIET. Powerful. Cordwinder with 16 foot cord. Suction regulator on the vacuum with dial setting from MIN to MAX.

Crush proof 6 foot flexible hose with 360 degree swivels on both hose ends. Large and small rear wheels on the vacuum and a front "5th" wheel that swivels 360 degrees. Full bag indicator. Chrome telescope adjustable extension wands. 2 in 1 Utility tool on board: Crevice and dusting attachments that store on board out of sight.

Bagged. Easy bag installation. Rubber seal on cardboard collar of bag to reduce dust overspray in bag compartment. Uses a removable bag plate as a staging deck for an easy but tight bag placement in the vacuum's bag compartment. Huge premotor washable filter. And smallish exhaust filter.

This HOOVER vacuum has been on the market since 2004. Sells for about $50 in the big box retailers. Wife thinks it looks cute. I agree She likes it because it's small and easy to store, extremely quiet, light yet with full size canister suction. It's a sourced vacuum. Made in China, probably by Sanyo, Bosch and/or TTI. But the HOOVER name gets the credit.

Combination floor rug tool has toe pedal with step on adjustor to go from one setting to the other. Piggy backs on rear of vacuum for easy storage. Two larger rear wheels on the tool. 2 small front wheels. 2 brush strips. Tool is 10 inches long. Neck swivels 360 degrees. Low profile will get under the smallest bed/furniture heights. 2 Lint pickers on the tool. Glue on. One came off in the box. Does a decent job on rugs. Excellent on floors.

Huge foot pedals for on off switch and cord rewind.

The vacuum has been used since early August 2007 and the bag changed once. When I changed the bag it was not full. Just half. The bag indicator did not indicate Full. The bag is smallish. About half the size of a brown lunch paper bag. But looks are deceiving. It holds alot of debris. Genuine bags cost $6-9 for 3 bags depending on where you buy.

Date Purchased: Aug 2007
Price Paid: $50
Recommend: Yes
Pros:
Small, some would call it a baby canister.

Light only 8 1/2 pounds with hose and attachments. Add 2 more pounds for the combination rug/floor tool.

Suction regulator allows user to control amount of suction depending on the cleaning chore.

Automatic cord rewind.

Full bag indicator.

Powerful, full size suction in a baby frame.

Price is a winner.

Cons:
The metal adjustable telescope wands. The weight of the wands cause them to disconnect from the hose and rug/floor tool. On-board attachments.

I purchased NEW two plastic extension wands and a dusting brush and crevice tool for $12 to use in lieu of the original equipment.
