Taski Bora 12

Greetings,

Anyone use the Taski Bora 12 canister vacuum in their home?  How loud is the vacuum compared to canisters normally used in the home?  Does the Taski steer easily or is it a clunker to drag?  Is this another version of a Shop-vac and its high pitched noise?

You can not go wrong by buying Taski products!!  We've had a Bora 12 for 10-12 years now, gets used for about an hour per week in a commercial setting.  The vacuum is relatively quiet, beets many vacs (if not most) in that respect.  If memory serves correct, when I tested it with a decibel meter, it measured 65-68 db(A).  (Definitely quieter than our Electrolux canisters we have!)  Most vacs with their pitch/roar bother my father, this is one of very few vacs that he can tolerate for extended time periods.  The Bora 12 moves easily on tiled or carpeted flooring. The five wheel guidance system makes it rather stable.  Definitely not a clunker to move around.  Suction  (airflow) is another strong point.  88"of lift, 129 CFM, single stage lamb motor.  The hose and wands are 1.5 inches.  What we did with ours is change the hand grip to 1.25, so we could use "regular" attachments with ease.  The bag capacity is huge.  I wouldn't be a bit surprised in a home setting you'd change the bag, maybe once or twice a year.  The bags are also cheaper than most home vacs.  Filtration is ok.  I have not tried it with the optional micro filter (hepa rated)  The micro filter comes before the motor.  I would not hesitate owning a Taski in my home.  The plastic will not shatter like most vacs that you can buy in a department store and some vac shops.  The Bora 12 is an easy to use, durable, high performance vac. We also own a Taski 330 rpm buffer, plus a Taski 1200 rpm burnisher as well, no regrets.   You owe it to yourself to check it out, but, if you're looking for bells and whistles, look elsewhere.
