Using a 220V, 50Hz Dyson in 120V, 60Hz power.. Yay or Nay?

I got my folk's Dyson DC-25 which is rated for 220V, 50Hz at 1200W. I found some voltage transformers that would let me convert to 110/120V operation but will running it on 60Hz power cause any issues? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
