Hoover mach 5 brush wasnt spinning. I emptied canister and cleaned two filters. Checked belts took larger thin belt off and turned inside out like I read online to do. Now brush spins but I tried it on a couple rugs and it latched onto rug pulling it in. Anyone know why it is doing this?

Replace the belt - we recommend replacing "stretchable" belts every six months - even if the machine sits in the closet the entire time, the belts will stretch out.
