Kenmore's "crossover handle" . . .
Original Message   Nov 1, 2010 2:01 pm
Hi,

Kenmore has come up with a new but not necessarily new idea similar to LG all-in-one tool for upholstery and dusting. Two new cans have a hose end called the "crossover handle". The hose end not only bears controls for suction and the cleaner's power nozzle but also incorporates a hooded dusting tool that's built into it.

With the tools plastic hood pulled down you can do upholstery, etc. With it up and bristles exposed you can perform dusting tasks. Questions arise for me because since this piece is not meant to be detached it has an interior electrical port (necessary for powering the regular power nozzle and electric mini nozzle when attached) that is directly exposed to the suction air stream as you work above floor. That seems a sure fire way for the port to clog up with dirt and who knows what else leading to shorts or other problems.
