Re: Hyla GST questions
#1   Mar 22, 2013 12:27 pm

Hyla is a knock off of Rainbow made in Germany. Many of us that have worked on Rainbows have referred to them as mudslingers. The dirty water that you see can be made with just a small handful of dirt. You should have put a new bag in before anyone demoes not keeping one that had been in the vacuum for a week and a half.Air filtration for anything more than 90 square feet is the norm for Rainbow or Hyla. Most air purifiers are for 200 plus sqaure feet.

Proteam is not anyway connected wirh Aerus( formerly Electrolux). The very first ones in the early nineties were but have since been knockoffs of the design of the Electrolux. Aerus which is the manufacture of Lux vacuums is the Original Electrolux. The Electrolux that is sold in stores are Eureka. People have said Eureka bought out Electrolux  are wrong. Only the trademark name was sold . The rights to Lux trademark is retained by Aerus. January of this year Aerus introduced the best cleaner on the market and the most exciting in many years. The Aerus Guardian Platinum canister.

Re: Please help! Hair dye on my carpet!
#2   Mar 14, 2013 12:00 am
I am sorry to tell you that hair dye is almost like carpet dye. once you get it in and it is dry it is there to stay. I can't tell you what to do other than talk to a carpet dealer that knows about dyeing carpet.

Re: Does Dyson have a "Walmart" build?
#4   Jan 4, 2013 8:07 pm

As far as I know there is only one place they are built and that is Malaysia. If you have new carpet be aware that there are carpet manufacturers that will not warranty your carpet when using a Dyson. European carpets (rugs) are different than here. Prices at  Walmart are the same as anywhere else due to Mininum Advertised Pricing that Dyson set up on their products. A color might be the only difference. Problem with buying any product online or at Walmart, Target, K Mart or any other  big box store is getting service after the purchase.

Re: Dyson DC17

I am sorry you thought I deserted you. I have been checking to see if there was anything out on the internet that would help you. Do not drill because it won't help. I punched in-" how do you unclog the cyclones of the DC-17 and came up with a you tube video that shows all your screws and hidden spots to sperate the cyclone body. The site on you tube is                                                       . This is where I would go to check how to get it apart. It takes a torx screwdriver and has  about 12 screws. Good luck. If I had it in front of me I could take care of it.
