I decided to replace the switch assy on my snowblower electric starter. Well, the brush assy popped off. How do you hold the 4 brushes in place and slide the commutator back into place?

The flywheel for the alternator is different from a standard flywheel. It has magnets built in to it. There are several different versions. You need to get the one that is designed for your engine.
