Ariens ST824 How old is it??

I purchased this machine used and it is mod. #932101 S/N 017081, can anyone tell me when it was made?? Also my father-in-law has a 28 yr. old Toro 726 that he bought new and is in really great shape/ still has original drive belt on it. The lives in northern Michigan. Does anyone have a idea what I should offer him for it?? He is in his 80's and done blowing! Thanks soo much. MYCATS

Derek, What is the part number for the new updated friction disc?? I have the same machine as yours and the same issues. Thanks, MYCATS... Also, you mentioned that you bought yours in 2002 and my not knowing the s/n of yours how can I tell what year mine was made?? Mine is ST824 mod. # 932101 S//N 017081. Does anyone know??
