i purchased this saw 2 years ago .mainly to cut up 5 or 6 cords of firewood per year.
yes its way more saw than i needed for the job.
but i work at the saw shop so i got it for cost.
this saw ,a 372 xpg features heated handles and heated carburetor for extreme cold conditions.
i seldom use it on a real cold day.however when you get older you notice that your hands get a bit stiffer and the heat provided by the handles sure feels nice on all but the warmest days,especially so when its damp outside.
this model also features spring mount suspension that effectivley isolates the user from the vibrations created by its 5.4 horsepower at 13500 rpm.
its a pro saw and sometimes i actually cut up friends firewood ,with someone helping me to toss the cut wood to one side i can junk up more than 2 full cord per hour from 8 foot wood.
this model also features the high mount air filter,it is about twice the size of a regular one and is much better at keeping he dirt on the outside where it belongs.
bar lengts from 16 inches up to 36 inches are easily available.
fuel consumption varies from approx 55 minuts per tank to 25 minutes when i have help and am working at max speed.
only troubles so far have been to replace the sparkplug which is part of normal service
