honda generator em1800
#1   Dec 13, 2006 8:02 pm
folks,
I have a honda generator model em1800.  It has lots and lots of hours on it with no problems until now.  It runs fine and it puts out the correct volts according to the volt meter, but it appears the cycles are off.  the tv doesn't work right and wall clocks run slow when connected to generator power.  Any ideas where to start of what the problem might be.  Like I said, it has 1000's of hours on it.
thanks

make sure the two bolts that go through the shaft and auger are not broken.  When the engine is off, you can check it by trying to turn the auger by hand.  If the bolts are not broken, the impeller should also turn.  Hope this helps
