By lower quality, do you mean that the Troy built will only last 5-10 years instead of 20+ for the ariens etc... or do you mean that the performance is drastically different, or both?

Troy Built Storm 1130 vs Ariens 1130DLE vs other comperable models

I'm looking to buy my first snow blower and was hoping to get some opinions on two of the local options or get some other ideas. My main driveway is ~120 ft long by 16 ft wide, with an expanded area around the garage. I also have a circular drive that is ~150 long by 16 ft wide. I live in NE ohio and average 80 inches of snow a season. Lowes has the Troy Built 1130 for $1099 while a local Ariens dealer has the 1130DLE for $1500. I have seen a lot of good comments about Ariens models in general on the discussion threads, but would it really be worth the extra $400 over the troy built. I was hopeing to not spend much over $1000, but if its a significant differance then I might consider it. I would also be interested to hear what other options might be worthy candidates. Thanks in advance for the info.
