I'm going to pull it apart tomorrow and reclean the holes in the gears that slide on the shaft. I think that is where it is binding. I'll post a follow up. Thx

Ok, today I pulled everything apart and cleaned it up. It wasn't quite as bad as the picture but it was locked up.I picked up the 00 grease and liberally lubed everything and put it back together. It was a pretty tight fit to get the gears back on the shaft even cleaned and lubed and now about every 3-4 counter rotations it binds up a little. Is there a sweet spot that the gears need to find or should they slide on the shaft? Thx Dean

I've got an restored 824 that I put an 8hp OHV engine on and will never part with it. Here's my problem, I picked up another one for my step father and restored it (clean, sand, prime and paint, new belts and new 5hp OHV engine). The limited slip rear axle on his thrower is locked up! Even with the tension nut/spacer off of the left wheel we can't get the wheels to counter rotate. Any suggestions would be great.
