Need help finding Tecumseh Carburetor throttle rod & one more question.
#1   Jan 5, 2007 8:55 pm
Two Questions:

1.  My throttle rod going from the Carburetor to the governor has broken.  Right now I have it rigged with some wire as a temp job.  Where and how do I find the replacement rod for this?

2.  I bought my Ariens ST1032 | HM-100 snow blower used; it was missing a lot of screws that hold the casing for around the Carburetor, every screw that I try "even using lock tight, vibrates loose.  I can't find anything that tells me the standard screw size, what do you recommend?

Thanks in advance,

Ryan

Thanks both for the info.  I set both the main and the idle setting back to the pre-set and went from there.   Everything works fine now and I got the driveway done which had around 35-40 inches on it.  The ST-1032 did the job.  I have heard that there is some sort of cutter attachment for cutting through snow drifts?  If I can see some specs on it I might be able to make them myself.  Thanks for the help.

Adjusting a carb for high altatude 9,200 Feet

Hello All,

This is my first post and hopefully my last stop.  I just bought a snowblower, a Ariens ST 1032 / 10 HP 4 Cycle.  I don't know to much about adjustments on the carb.  The elevation I live at is 9,200 Feet above sea level.  When I started the snowblower up at the buyers house ."6,000 Feet, it was fine."  I got to my cabin and started it up and it sounded like it was bogging down after running it for a bit.  Through internet searching I have found that the carb has two adjustments?  One spring screw under neath and one on the side.  I don't know which dose which or where to start.  I think I have screwed with it a little to much and would like to know how I can set both back to a netural spot and start over.  Please help as I have lot's of snow to blow....

Thanks

Ryan K
