Went to look at a Toro 826LE at a dealer today.

Guy said it was a saleman's demo and two years old. It looked like it had never been used. Sales guy (shop-owner), said it's covered by a two year warranty and was originally priced at $1,500!!!

I was skeptical, so I came home and googled the 826 LE

Here's what I found....Toro has a suggested retail of $1,500????? Why so high? Shop owner wants $899. It's exactly like the one in the site below, no headlight.

a couple years ago I bought the biggest Stihl I could find.  I think I paid $600 and it blows over 200mph.  I have a lot of leaves and this works great.  Highly recommended.

I think it's a BR 600

Buy a Toro 826 online?

Anyone buy a snowblower from an online vendor?

Here's a couple I ran across.  They say shipping is free but is it really?  Anyone have any experiences with these two vendors.  Local Toro dealer wants $1,249 + $50 to deliver.

Stopped at HD and they had a Ariens 824E for $950.

Lowe's had a Troybuilt 8.5-26 for $750.

I couldn't find a new 824E listed anywhere online. Someone told me that the equipment supplied to HD & Lowe's are of cheaper quality from the factory. That's why I'm a little skeptical to buy from them.

Same guys told me that if it needs repair, some shops won't touch them.

any comments? Is the quality the same?

How's the Troybuilt for ruggedness?

I'm looking for the most HP in a 24-26 width cut. I'm a HP junkie.
