Your advice and thoughts are sincerely appreciated.

Because this purchase will be made with the redemption of credit card rewards points, we have to buy our snow blower at home depot.

I have the option of a $749 Cub Cadet or a $949 Ariens.

Here is the product comparison between the 2 at home depot:
http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/THDProductCompare?errorURL=ProductAttributeErrorView&langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053&prodComp_0=100596927&prodComp_1=100596769&N=10000003+90401+501670&marketID=401&locStoreNum=8125

Money is a big factor. Yes, I have about $800 in rewards points, but anything above that is out of pocket. And pockets are thin right now. Especially with Christmas coming up. SOOooooo, heres my question.... Understanding that it's not a fair comparison already with the cub being $200 less, WOuld you say that the cub is more than $200 WORSE than the Ariens. Is it a piece of junk? Be honest. Also, yes, the IS an Ariens @ the same $749 price point as the cub, but the intake on the Ariens 624e isn't tall enough for a good nights snow here.  I'm in the snowbelt 10 mins. north of Syracuse. =)

Thanks in advance & have a great day!
