OEM gas cap for Husqvarna
Original Message   Feb 2, 2015 9:58 am
Anyone know where to get a OEM replacement cap for Husqvarna? I have looked and not finding anything. It is the cap with the bobber slide assembly attached to the screw cap. It broke this weekend and I could just leave it be. But thought I would replace it. Thank you!

Can you take the old one to a local lawn mower shop? They should be able to match it up pretty easily.

14527SB-LS is the model. Yes, I could go into a dealer. I was just hoping to find something online.

The cap is 799719 and lots of places online offering it at around $20.

The "bobber slide" you mentioned was something I've not seen.  The pictures on line
look like it has a flexible piece attached by a string to the cap that can be compressed to
fit inside the tank.  It seems like it's to keep the cap from falling to the ground during refill.  ??

Gas cap has the gauge on top. The bobber is what determines how much fuel is in the tank. http://www.hyperparts.com/datapics/s1001c1003/images/items/125-112.JPG

The cap I listed above was for the  14527E not the 14527SB-LS.

The cap with the gas gage for the SB-LS is available from partselect.com for $25:
