Who else is getting pounded?
Original Message   Feb 10, 2005 7:09 pm
I just got a note from Chris_S, he has been without power and having a tough time removing the snow, even with the Honda, he says. He said it was wet and heavy and reminded him of throwing rubbery silly putty, if you can imagine whatever that would be like.

My laptop battery is on the fast fade.....

I have never seen snow bounce off of spinning augers before.  Even my TA was trying to ride up over it it was so pasty and I was using it as a battering ram and the snow was bouncing off of it.  It is great snowball and snowman material but man is it heavy, hopefully it will get bitter cold tonight so I have better luck with what continues to come down tomorrow....Man I love living here.  The snow never ceases to amaze me.....It better stop soon.....I had to snowplow into my drive today to get in....It also is pulling power lines down left and right and trees with it.  I lost count of the # of towns without power around me.....Make sure your snowblower has a light!!!!

if you want i could go to the shop ,grab a new generator ,some groceries and do a rescue mission.

are you out of beer yet ,im thinking i might need a little backup incase it gets real bad.

Marshall and Buttlint would be good help but they will fight over the remote for the tv once we get the gen set running.

well heck if were bringin a genset then a tv wont be a problem.

the gensets are a big sell around here now there are so many power interuptions that a lot of folks are buying the standby units that run on propane or natural gas.

start as soon as your utility gets below 70 % rated power.

and we sell a lot of them

Chris,

See if you can get a few photos for us.  That must be terrible without power.  Hopefully your generator is up to the task.  I seem to recall you may have mentioned you have one.
