I've read some older posts where some using a weight bar believe the 10 lb. plate in the kit isn't heavy enough and that these units need at least 20 lbs.

20 lbs at least, more if you have a cab in the back.

Anyone else using Ariens weight kit?

I am using a weight kit on my 1128dle and it make a difference. Also you can stack them.  Or just make a template from a 2x4 or what ever size you want and go to a metal fab place and have them make you whatever size and weight you want.  Paint it up and mount it.
