I procrastinated this summer in purchasing one, now it has come back to bite me. I initially thought a Toro Snow Commander would meet my needs 90% of the time. However the last two snowfalls here have changed my mind and I want something that can handle 99% of the snow dumps. This current storm is a rarity however, storms of 10-15 are common. We are Currently at 30+ inches in Marion, Ma still very windy and snowing hard. I believe I will end up with a  Ariens 926dle at some point this summer. Time to go shovel! |

Thanks for the replies. Driveway length: approx 70ft Width: 2.5 cars Surface: smooth Slight Incline thats starts at bottom of drive. Whole drive covered in more than 3ft of snow. The lowest point is right next to the garage at 2.5 ft. |

Hi... An 8 horsepower 2-stage snowblower will do the job... A smaller one will too... but most of the smaller ones have a lower intake housing height... With the snows there... a tall intake housing height is desirable... Dave...
