Old Craftsman snow thrower
Original Message   Mar 31, 2009 11:00 am
I have a small OLD Craftsman snow thrower. I've scoured the machine and can find no model number (the "body" is gone, different gas tank and air filter added and the hard wheels have been replaced with pneumatic tires). Decals still left on the machine say "Craftsman Power Snow Thrower". The unit still works great. The impeller measures 16-17" and it has a 180 deg throwing radius. The only information I have is for  the engine. It's a Tecumseh 2 cycle (3 HP I think) engine with a tag that says "1590 Tecumseh 8229". I did find a parts list from the Tecumseh web site for the engine. Can any one out there help me with the identity of this mystery machine? The Craftsman web site and hot line help scored a BIG ZERO. Did Murray possibly make it? What year? Manual/parts available on line? HELP!!!!  Thanks, Ed.
