Toro 3650 squealing...??
Original Message   Jan 11, 2009 3:22 pm
I have a 4 year old Toro 3650 and it has been very good.  However, of late it has started to squeal alot when it is under a strain from a bit of snow when before it used to go right through it.  I presume this to be the drive belt?  Does it need to be adjusted (if possible) or simply replaced?  Is the drive belt replacement pretty easy if that is what you think it might be?

Thanks in advance.

If by chance the belt does look worse for wear and you do need want to replace it, the procedure should be similar to what's shown below (from an older generic Toro single stage service manual) :

THank you both for your reply.  I finally found the manual online and saw the pictures and instructions on how to change the belt.  I did not see about changing the spring positioning.

I appreciate your help.

Jeff
