2-Cycle 2 Stage Toro Power Max 6000?
Original Message   Nov 7, 2007 3:55 pm
Hi,

I am new here and appreciate all the good info on this site. I am looking for my first snowblower and stopped at a Toro dealer the other day. One model I looked at was the Toro 6000 which is a 2-cycle 26" 2-stage unit. I had the mechanic as my salesman and he did a good job showing me all the Toros. I was kind of intrigued by the 6000 and he said they haven't had any problems with it. I asked how it sounded and he even took it in the shop, added some gas, and started it. Sort of sounds like a snowmobile. I think this is the only 2-cycle 2 stage out there. If there are any owners of this unit on the list, how do you like it? Does it throw the snow pretty good? Less maintenance than a 4-cycle? I live in Minnesota (north of St. Paul). Would that be a good blower for this area? My budget is around a thousand. The 6000 is $950.

Thanks!
