Help Identify Older Ariens?
Original Message   Oct 29, 2007 8:11 pm
Hello all,

I just picked up a refurbished Ariens Snowblower.

Anyone know the model and/or year?
It does not have the model or serial on the frame.

7HP / 24" - 4F/N/1R

The Engine numbers are:
Model: H70-130067
Serial: 9275 16776

Here is a picture of it (sorry about the quality):

Thanks.
After doing some research it looks like there are not that many changes to the basic configuration through the late 70s, early 80s.
I think perhaps any manual from than period might give me a good idea of how things are set up.

Do you know where and what type of shear pins are used?
I am not very mechanical and have no reference point there.

Look under the left handle bar, on the flat part of the bottom cover.

Should be the model and serial number, IF!!! they are painted over, the numbers

should be stamped into the metal. Get the numbers and go to www.ariens.com

Go into parts radar and input your numbers, will bring up a expanded drawing of

your machine and the blower.

Put it where the Big iron wheel runs!!!
