Toro 20438 transmission gear replacement
Original Message   Jun 12, 2007 4:31 pm
My well-maintained '94 rear-drive Toro Model 20438 has stopped working in 3rd gear.  Which is the less costly way to go - attempt to repair /replace the transmission gear myself or just replace the transmission altogether?  A new transmission can be purchased online for $220.  I'm planning on doing the work myself.  Anybody have any experience repairing Toro tranny's?
