Cub Cadet hydro leaking out vent
Original Message   Apr 28, 2007 8:03 pm
Last year I changed my filter and fluid in the hydro unit of a Cub 2082 Lawn Tractor.  The reason I changed it was the steering would get really hard to turn after about an hour of use. I was told to change the filter and fluid.  It fixed my steering problem but ever since It leaks fluid out of a plug on top of the hydro unit.  It leaks any time the motor is running and seems to get worse with higher rpm. I used a wix replacement filter and Hydro fluid from Rural King.  It was approved for IH hytrans units, or so they said.

Could non Cub fluid be the problem or am I in for a big repair?
